Meaty Chair
The artist of this sexy Meat chair is one Simone Racheli. He was born in 1966 in Italy and is quite clearly a little eccentric. Maybe he was dropped on his head as a child?!
As well as fashioning this fetching chair out of half a cow, Simone has also created a meat bike frame, meat iron and even a meat toilet! I think ill skip that dinner party Simone, thanks anyway!
Sheep Head Arm Chair
If you thought the chair above was weird, check out this arm chair made of sheep! The name of this artist is unknown but ive got a funny feeling hes met our Mr Racheli before. I have to admit, it does look comfortable but id be a bit worried about those legs snapping off (eww!). One thing is sure though; this is the perfect throne for any self respecting Minotaur warlord.
Roberta Rammê: Wave Chaise
Ok, back to relative normality now with this Wave Chaise teenager TV lounger by a Brazilian designer called Roberta Rammê. According to the designer this is supposed to be “furniture to wear…with an innovator design, intense colors, ergonomics and technology appeal. Like in fashion, the point is to unify beauty, comfort, and functionality”. Fashion hey? Ahhh, so thats why theres an Apple computer on the desk…but what about the functionality; surely thats not right?
The designer then goes on to say; “This concept is inspired by the values and personality of a today’s teenager and the standards generated by a global hi-tech culture of facilities, where the access to technology is cheap and easy.” - In other words, World of Warcraft players.
Alien table
As an avid Aliens fan, this is definitely my favorite piece of furniture here. This cool Alien table is built from scratch out of recycled bits of metal and car parts. At $5000 each they don’t come cheap but then each one is hand built to order, with a lead time of 12 weeks and can be customized to your liking. If the full alien table is a bit too extreme, for $500 you can order a face hugger bar stool type table which is equally cool but a bit more subtle…and you don’t have to re-mortgage your house to buy it!
Pencil Bench
This $2400 seat is made up of 1600 pencils which are individually sprung. Each pencil is pre sharpened and can be removed and used for your chosen writing implement. The Pencil bench doesn’t actually come with any weight restrictions but I really wouldn’t like to stress test it outside a McDonald’s in an American city thats for sure; I don’t think it would last very long and im not gonna be the one pulling out all the splinters…
Boxing glove chair
Introducing Mike Tyson’s throne! When Mike is not smashing things to their component parts or eating ears, this is where he relaxes, watches TV and barks orders at his “woman” for more steak and eggs. At $5,895 the Argument Chair (!!!) actually “massages” your back with the intensity of 14 boxers, round housing your rims to a pulp. Not for the faint hearted!
Cocking Table
If you aren’t interested in getting a dog that pees all over your house, why not get the next best thing; The cocking table. Features include; No feeding required, no smell, no mess, and it is guaranteed to make your front room look like crap.
